Koç University Rumelifeneri Campus is home to three major facilities: the Cleanroom Facility (SNA-B182 and B2 Technical Room), and two Central Characterization Facilities (ENG-B203 and SNA-B137). The 760 m^2 Cleanroom Facility, located in the SNA Building, was established with a significant investment of €4.5M in infrastructure and €6.5M in equipment.

The facility houses at least 70 different instruments across eight partitioned labs. In October 2022, we completed the installation of our new Electron Beam Lithography Tool, which has enhanced our lithography ability up to the 8nm range and puts us among the best facilities in the world.

The Central Characterization Laboratory (ENG-B203) is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), and Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometer (IMS QTof). Since 2020, the facility has been providing services to researchers with the support of our expert administrative and technical personnel. In addition, our Small Angle X-Ray Spectroscopy System (SAXS) is operational at SNA-B137, and our MEMS Test/Characterization capabilities are in service.

At Koç University, our state-of-the-art equipment and interdisciplinary infrastructure enable synergy between different research groups, allowing them to work with our expert technical and administrative personnel. Every piece of equipment we have chosen for our infrastructure is designed to enhance the research capabilities of our laboratories and stimulate new research areas.
